Cyklokoal\u00edcia (“Cycling coalition”) is a non-profit advocacy expert group that aims to improve sustainable mobility in Slovakia, especially cycling and walking. Since 2011, we have been working to make moving around Slovakia healthier, safer, more sustainable and more enjoyable.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The beginnings of the Cyklokoal\u00edcia date back to 2010, when several active cyclists, people working with mobility or public spaces, and active citizens got together in Bratislava and started to improve the city’s streets. Since then, it has grown into a strong organisation working to improve conditions for walking, cycling and public transport across Slovakia.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cyklokoal\u00edcia works to improve public policies, strategies and legislation at national, regional and local levels. We comment on various construction and transport projects to make them more pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly, and support civic initiatives in cities and towns across the country. We organise international educational events and conferences and help active cities in their efforts to improve mobility for their citizens.<\/p>\n

We are an active member of the European Cyclists\u2018 Federation<\/a> and the World Cycling Alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We have participated in and led several international projects<\/strong> related to sustainable mobility over the years, and we are open to new partnerships in high-impact international projects. Our team also includes experienced speakers on the development of cycling and sustainable mobility in Slovakia and the CEE region.<\/p>\n
